Burns Unbroke’s innovative visual arts programme features work by over 30 visual artists, including new commissions by four artists living and working in Scotland. Each artist explores an aspect of Burns’s life or work, highlighting his continuing relevance in the 21st century.

Library Gallery and Corner Gallery

Inspired Editions I and II: Group shows of editioned work, including the full size version of Robert Powell’s commissioned map of all the significant places in Edinburgh with some link to Burns.

Sciennes Galleries

Three installations all inspired by Burns’s epic poem: Tam o’ Shanter:

The War Memorial Gallery

As Ithers See Him: A group show of contemporary interpretations of Robert Burns’s appearance.

The Laboratory Gallery

Mixed media Burns inspired work by commissioned artists, Derrick Guild and Ciara Dunne.
